Course Content
- Module 1: Introduction to Phlebotomy Learn the fundamentals of phlebotomy, including the anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system, professional ethics, and the responsibilities of the phlebotomist.
- Module 2: Blood Collection Techniques Master venous, capillary, and arterial blood drawing techniques, using different methods and equipment.
- Module 3: Sample Management and Quality Control Learn to identify and handle different types of blood samples, as well as quality control protocols to ensure accurate results.
- Module 4: Safety and Biosafety in Phlebotomy Learn safety and biosecurity protocols to prevent infections and accidents during blood draws.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of enrollment.
- Graduated High School Transcript/GED Transcript or Graduated College Transcript (ALL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE HAND DELIVERED TO THE SCHOOL LOCATION. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!).
- Drivers License or an appropriate Government Issued ldentification Ex: (State ID, Military ID, or US Passport)
- Previous experience is NOT required.
