Course Content
- Module 1: Introduction to Mental Health
- Basic concepts of mental health, common mental disorders, and the role of the Mental Health Technician.
- Module 2: Patient Assessment and Observation
- Patient assessment techniques, observation of behaviors, and documentation of relevant information.
- Module 3: Interventions and Support Strategies
- Implementation of treatment plans, therapeutic communication techniques, and crisis management strategies.
- Module 4: Ethics and Professionalism in Mental Health
- Ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional responsibilities of the Mental Health Technician.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of enrollment.
- Graduated High School Transcript/GED Transcript or Graduated College Transcript (ALL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE HAND DELIVERED TO THE SCHOOL LOCATION. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!).
- Drivers License or an appropriate Government Issued ldentification Ex: (State ID, Military ID, or US Passport)
- Previous experience is NOT required.
