The Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) program at Halg Academy provides you with comprehensive training in the clinical skills necessary to work in medical offices, clinics, and hospitals. You will learn to perform patient assessments, administer medications, assist in procedures, and maintain accurate medical records. Our experienced instructors will guide you in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge to excel in this profession.
Course Content
- Module 1: Introduction to Clinical Medical Assisting
- Fundamentals of clinical medical assisting, the role of the CMAC, and professional ethics.
- Module 2: Advanced Clinical Skills
- Advanced techniques for taking vital signs, administering injections, and assisting in specialized procedures.
- Module 3: Pharmacology and Medication Administration
- Principles of pharmacology, dosage calculation, and safe techniques for medication administration.
- Module 4: Clinical Procedures and Documentation
- Assisting in various clinical procedures, handling medical equipment, and accurate documentation of patient information.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of enrollment.
- Graduated High School Transcript/GED Transcript or Graduated College Transcript (ALL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE HAND DELIVERED TO THE SCHOOL LOCATION. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!).
- Drivers License or an appropriate Government Issued ldentification Ex: (State ID, Military ID, or US Passport)
- Previous experience is NOT required.
