Description
The Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) program at Halg Academy provides you with the fundamental training to work as a certified nursing assistant. You will learn to perform tasks such as taking vital signs, personal hygiene care for patients, mobilization, feeding, and documentation. Our expert instructors will guide you in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge to provide safe and compassionate care to patients.
Course Content
- Module 1: Introduction to Nursing Care
- Fundamentals of nursing care, the role of the Nursing Assistant, and professional ethics.
- Module 2: Basic Patient Care Skills
- Techniques for taking vital signs, patient personal hygiene, mobilization, and positioning.
- Module 3: Patient Nutrition and Feeding
- Basic knowledge of nutrition, food preparation and administration, and assistance in patient feeding.
- Module 4: Communication, Documentation, and Patient Safety
- Therapeutic communication skills, accurate documentation of patient information, and safety protocols to prevent injuries.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of enrollment.
- Graduated High School Transcript/GED Transcript or Graduated College Transcript (ALL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE HAND DELIVERED TO THE SCHOOL LOCATION. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!).
- Drivers License or an appropriate Government Issued ldentification Ex: (State ID, Military ID, or US Passport)
- Previous experience is NOT required.
