The Physical Therapy Technician Certification (PTTC) program at Halg Academy prepares you for a career where you can help people regain their mobility and physical well-being. You will learn to apply various physical therapy modalities, assist in rehabilitation exercises, and educate patients on home care. Our expert instructors will guide you in developing the practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for this profession.
Course Content
- Module 1: Introduction to Physical Therapy
- Fundamentals of physical therapy, the role of the Physical Therapy Technician, and professional ethics.
- Module 2: Anatomy and Physiology Applied to Physical Therapy
- Study of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, with emphasis on the musculoskeletal system and movement.
- Module 3: Physical Therapy Modalities and Techniques
- Application of modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, electrotherapy, and massage and mobilization techniques.
- Module 4: Assisting in Rehabilitation Exercises and Patient Education
- Guidance and assistance in therapeutic exercises, patient education on home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of enrollment.
- Graduated High School Transcript/GED Transcript or Graduated College Transcript (ALL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE HAND DELIVERED TO THE SCHOOL LOCATION. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!).
- Drivers License or an appropriate Government Issued ldentification Ex: (State ID, Military ID, or US Passport)
- Previous experience is NOT required.
